Plan a grown-up getaway at resorts spanning a spectrum of accommodation styles in either the buzziest or more serene pockets of this island

Although renowned as a family destination, Tenerife also has its fair share of adults-only accommodation options. Opt for a serene oasis in Costa Adeje, upscale base in the thick of the action or all-suite hideaway in a sleepier part of the island. Plunge into rooftop and oceanfront pools, retreat to the tranquillity of a spa and indulge in some of the island's greatest gastronomy.
If you’re looking for the best adults-only hotels in Tenerife, our pick of the bunch will provide peace and calm in place of kids' clubs pandemonium, refined dining over mealtime melees, and calm waters rather than inflatable-infested pools. Yes, family holidays have their place, but in today’s busy world, a little ‘me-time for the more mature’ is just as important.
How we review
Every hotel in this curated list has been visited by one of our expert reviewers, who are usually hosted on a complimentary basis. They stay for a minimum of one night, test at least one meal and trial other experiences that the hotel might have to offer.
