Emagine Entertainment is an American multiplex chain with 18 theaters across Michigan, Minnesota, and Illinois. It operates with more than 150 movie screens at its 18 locations.
Emagine was the first movie theater to convert the entire movie chain to 100% digital cinema, install DLP 4K projectors, Dolby Atmos sound systems in Michigan, and Xbrite 3D screens. In fact, it has been hailed as one of the “Best Movie Theatres” by Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, and WDIV for quite a few years.

History
Paul Glantz initiated the business with a simple philosophy, which is, “Success is born out of serving the customer.” In 1997, the company was born in Birch Run, Michigan, and was first known as Cinema Hollywood. Then, it was called Emagine Entertainment, which became well-known for its all-stadium seating.
Then afterwards, Glantz raised more than a $45 million capital to open Emagine Novi, Canton, Rochester Hills, and Royal Oak, all in Michigan.
In 2010, Emagine was recognized as one of Michigan’s “50 Companies to Watch.” Glantz became the forerunner of technological change in the movie theater industry.
Until now, Emagine Entertainment continues to grow and expand to meet their customers’ needs and requests. In August of 2016, the company purchased Minnesota-based Muller Family Theatres chain, obtaining 8 theater locations.
Emagine Review
Emagine provides the latest movies for all ages. Groups and individuals can enjoy viewing the movies in their world-class large-format theaters with superior video and audio technologies.
Aside from normal cinema viewing, Emagine also offers movies in 3D, IMAX, and DMAX. Understandably, ticket prices differ according to the type of screening.
Ticket prices start at $6.50 for children ages 2 to 10 and $10.00 for adults. Movies in 3D cost an additional $2.50 per ticket. IMAX has an additional $1.00 to $2.50 per ticket, and an $8 will be added for DMAX Seating.
Aside from their luxurious seats that can be reserved, Emagine also offers DBOX Seats. DBOX seats can take you literally from the outside to the inside world of the movie. This is a must-try simulator that will take you to the next level of cinematic experience.
A wide range of delightful foods and refreshing drinks are sold at their fancy concessions stands and bars. Alcoholic beverages are also sold, but you must be at least 21 years old to purchase.
It also has a spacious lobby for socialization before and after the movie screening. Now, after movies will be as enjoyable as the movie screening itself.

For Emagine’s faithful and regular customers, Emagine offers a loyalty program called Emagine Platinum Membership Program. The program entitles the members to several benefits including a $100 credit issued upon sign-up, a free movie ticket on their birthday, seating rights, etc.
They also provide additional discounts for students and senior citizens, as long as they present valid identification cards. They occasionally offer specials, particularly on their foods and drinks.
Emagine can also cater to special events, such as private viewings and business lectures. They also offer classy food and movie combos, such as Breakfast with a movie, Senior lunch with a movie, Dinner with a movie, etc.
